Did you know that many of the Musicians that we admire are talented in fields other than the instrument they play or the beautiful music they write? I picked up my brushes last month and it made me wonder if my favourite musicians got the same relaxing and fulfilling feeling I get when I lay colours to canvas. I was pleasantly surprised to find some of the best musicians in the world, past and present are extremely talented painters. I’ve compiled a list of 10 famous musicians who moonlight as accomplished painters along with a sample of their artwork. I find some of these to be reminiscent of the music they play. I threw in a recent painting of my own just below since Ive been so inspired lately. There are many more whom I didn’t list. Do you have a favourite musician that has a way with the brushes?
