Now that summer is finally here it all begins to make sense. This is the weather that inspires kids to play music, musicians to write songs and bands to rock the night away. The heat is on. The dress is scant. And the beat is groovy. Let’s dance.

Rock.It Boy Entertainment presents DANIEL WESLEY in concert at the STAR OF THE SEA HALL on Pacific Ave in White Rock on Friday, August 1st. Inspired by the blast of sun and heat, Rob Warwick of Rock.It Boy has added special guests CURRENT SWELL and local favourite 2008 CFOX Seeds Finalist JORDAN CARRIER to the bill.

JORDAN CARRIER has been a part of the White Rock music scene since the mid nineties as front man for the indie quartet Cozybones. Their improvisational uncompromising sounds have inspired and entertained across the country and their superior song writing has earned them many accolades and awards.

Carrier, who works as wine director at the high-end White Rock eatery Pearl, has recently uncorked a brand new direction in his musical journey. He has gone solo and, with the release of the infectious, rocker “Club People,” JORDAN CARRIER has been selected as one of the five finalists in the 99.3 THE FOX SEEDS 2008 contest, that same contest that has launched the careers of Nickelback, Daniel Wesley and many more.

Formed on Vancouver Island in 2004, CURRENT SWELL has grown through two full-length albums and is already recording their third. Their energetic live show incorporates folk, blues, reggae, rock and ska; appealing to diversified crowds while creating one definitive sound – the sound of good times. The first two albums So I Say (2005) and Trust Us Now (2007) have kept the trio busy on a non-stop touring schedule across Canada and Australia with The Beautiful Girls plus opening for bands such as Xavier Rudd, illScarlett and Bedouin Soundclash.
