It was his first poem.

My dear mother, I hope that you

Will never grow old and gray,

So that all the people in the world will say:

”Hello, young lady, Happy Mother’s Day.”

 4. ELVIS PRESLEY & GLADYS

mama4

Elvis Aaron Presley, was Born January 8th, 1935 to Gladys Love Presley, who was considered the ultimate Music Mom.  Gladys, already having lost one child, Elvis’s twin brother at birth, was very protective of the young King.  Even when Presley was an adult, mother and son shared a secret language in which ice cream was called ‘iddytream’ and milk was known as ‘butch’. When she died in 1958,  23-year-old Elvis was so distraught that he tried to throw himself into the grave after her.  The bond between a mother and child is stronger than anything, which Gladys & Elvis clearly had.

5. JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE & LYNN

ama8

Born on January 31, 1981 in Memphis, Tennessee as Justin Randall Timberlake to Lynn Harless Timberlake.  Lynn was the brain behind the name of Justin’s boy band *NSYNC.  She thought it was fair to use the last letter of each original member’s first name. Great idea, Mom!

CHEERS TO ALL THE ROCKIN’ MOMS OUT THERE!
